Passover 2024

Monday, April 22-Tuesday, April 30, 2024

Passover falls a little later this year and unfortunately it intersects with MSU’s finals week.  At MSU Hillel, we are planning to offer seders as well as meals during Passover.  We will also be open for studying throughout finals week.

While we are disappointed with the decision to move forward with final exams during Passover, we are committed to supporting Jewish Spartans during this important time. We will be offering seders on Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23, as well as meals throughout the week - free of charge.

Below are a number of opportunities for Passover meals as well as information about how to request exam accommodations through the Office of the Provost.

  • Passover seders: students and parents/families can join us for Seders on Monday and Tuesday, by RSVPing here. There is a $25 cost for parents and community members. Everyone is welcome at our seder table. If this is a financial burden for your family, please email jonathon@msuhillel.org.

  • Passover lunches and dinners: Hillel will offer lunches and dinners throughout Passover.  Please click here to RSVP for specific meals.

  • Exam accommodations – The Office of the Provost is working with students and faculty to facilitate rescheduling exams that fall on the first days of Passover.  For more information, please click here.

  • Celebrating graduates: Would graduating seniors and their families would be interested in a pre-graduation Kosher for Passover reception on either Friday, April 26 or Saturday, April 27 at Hillel?  Please click here for a short survey.
